Shipping policy
At TriStar Security, we understand that security projects operate on tight schedules. We are dedicated to processing your orders efficiently and partnering with reliable carriers to ensure your equipment arrives safely and on time.
1. Domestic Shipping (Contiguous United States)
- Free Shipping: We are pleased to offer Free Standard Shipping on most orders totaling $399.00 or more (before tax) shipped to the 48 contiguous United States.
- Carrier Selection: Free and Flat-Rate shipments are delivered via UPS Ground, FedEx Ground, or USPS, depending on the size and destination of the package.
- Exclusions: Certain heavy, oversized, or special-order items (such as server racks or bulk cable) may not qualify for free shipping. These items will be clearly marked at checkout.
2. Non-Contiguous & International Shipping
We proudly support customers outside the mainland US.
- Alaska, Hawaii & APO/FPO: A flat shipping surcharge of $19.00 applies to all orders shipped to Alaska, Hawaii, and military addresses (APO/FPO). These orders are typically shipped via USPS.

International Shipping: We offer a flat rate of $79.99 for international orders.
- Note: International customers are responsible for any applicable customs duties, taxes, or import fees levied by the destination country.
3. Processing & Delivery Times

Order Processing: Standard orders are processed within 1–2 business days (Monday through Friday, excluding holidays). Processing begins once credit card authorization and address verification are complete.
- Please note: For security purposes, high-value orders may require up to 24 hours for payment verification.
- Transit Time: Once shipped, Standard Delivery orders typically arrive within 3 to 10 business days, depending on your location relative to our warehouses.
- Tracking: You will receive an automated email with your tracking number as soon as your label is created.
4. Shipping Liability & Address Accuracy
- Address Verification: Please ensure your shipping address is correct before finalizing your order. TriStar Security is not responsible for packages delivered to an incorrect address provided by the customer.
- Unattended Packages: We are not responsible for packages left unattended at your doorstep. If you require a signature for delivery, please contact us immediately after placing your order.
5. Refused & Undeliverable Packages
If a package is refused by the customer at the time of delivery, or if a package is returned to us as "Undeliverable" due to an incorrect address:
- Refund Calculation: We will refund the cost of the items minus the original shipping cost, the return shipping cost charged by the carrier, and a 20% restocking fee.
- This policy applies even if the order originally qualified for Free Shipping (the actual cost of shipping will be deducted).
